OUR STORY

Ryan’s cabin was just the retreat my family needed. Secluded, relaxing, peaceful, and exceptionally clean. We did not have to worry about anything during our stay. He even helped us find a restaurant our first night when we didn’t know where to go. Ryan is a responsive and kind host. We’d love to come back and stay anytime.

we really enjoyed our stay at Ryan’s airstream! we were there for 2 nights celebrating my birthday— we loved soaking in the huuuuge hot tub after a long day kayaking and hiking ☺️ super cute space, you can tell they put a lot of thought into all of the details. the bed was extremely comfortable (especially by airbnb standards). would definitely stay again!

Exactly what I needed. You can’t see another home from this one. Just a cabin in the woods. Peace and quiet, nice hot tub, stylish decor, well appointed kitchen, nice TV, gas logs. Just a solid “cabin in the woods” get away. Book it!

Our family had such a lovely time at the cabin! Everything was great. The cabin was very clean! I didn’t see any spiders or even spiderwebs outside on the deck. We loved the hot tub and projector to watch movies on. It was the perfect spot to relax after hiking. Amazing hosts!

This was the perfect spot for us. We wanted a secluded area but not far from hiking, shops, restaurants etc. place looked just like the photos. Loved it. Will definitely come back

This is an adorable, cozy little cabin that has everything you need. The hot tub and Sauna were perfect on the back deck over looking the woods. I greatly appreciated all of the amenities. We didn't have to pack anything besides our clothes. Walmart and Kroger are close so we grabbed some food to cook on the grill, which worked out nicely. The one thing I will add, because if I didn't read other reviews I would have never known and I almost brought the wrong vehicle, which could have been a disaster, is that the driveway is very steep and hard to climb. I would definitely recommend an AWD vehicle, if you have one, we would have not have made it up the driveway without it.

We had a lovely stay at Ryan's place. The house was well situated, quiet, and private, lending to a peaceful atmosphere for a relaxed getaway. The location is close to a gas station as well as 10-15 minutes drive to many of the popular hiking spots within Hocking Hills, which we enjoyed! The house was gorgeously furnished - each room featured a modern, elevated eclectic design and thoughtfulness and comfort was something that we appreciated throughout our stay. There is ample space with the upper and lower levels as well as the balcony to sprawl out and enjoy the house. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and the hot tub was welcome after hike days! The spacious kitchen and social spaces were welcome to our group of 9 and the rooms were comfortable. Ryan was a remarkable host. He was highly responsive to needs and questions, proactively checked in with the group during our stay, and his very prompt reply time was appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

Perfecta mini escapada familiar a Hocking Hills! Fuimos 8 adultos más niñas pequeñas y un perrito a celebrar mi cumpleaños 28. Todos la pasamos increíble! Las niñas amaron la piscina y los juegos, los adultos disfrutamos de karaoke en la terraza, la grill, la cancha de basketball/pickleball, ping pong, etc. En el basement hay 3 habitaciones (1 de dos camas) y un baño. En el primer piso hay 2 baños y 1 habitación. Luego hay "dos segundos pisos": hay una escalera normal que llega a 2 habitaciones, luego volviendo al primer piso hay una escalera caracol para subir y hay dos habitaciones más (una con 2 bunk beds) y un baño conectado a esa habitación. En general la estadía fue muy buena y el precio vale totalmente todo lo que ofrece! Esperamos volver en otra oportunidad con mi familia ☺️

Great place nd I'll go again

This place was so unique. Very eclectic in the best way. My favorite part was the size of their tables. You can fit everyone in the same room at the same table. It’s awesome. I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins and lodges in the hocking hills. Most of them have a list of rules 2 miles long and fees for EVERYTHING. This lodge was the opposite. What you see is what you get. No hidden fees and the lodge is even better in person. We would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was perfectly secluded, immersed in the woods with beautiful surroundings, and had everything we needed for a great long weekend! Would love to come back, the place was so comfortable, cute and cozy. The host was very responsive and willing to accommodate any requests we had as well!

Great stay! We spent one night here the day after our wedding in Columbus. It was the perfect, peaceful getaway to help us decompress after the festivities. The cabin was clean and relaxing. The sauna was great! Also we could see the stars and the full moon from the hut tub!

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway; the cabin is very clean and is adorably decorated! It's great for a small family- we loved the movie projector and the little reading nook; the only thing we would have done differently is check in during the day time vs. evening because it is pitch black and it is hard to see on some of the roads/surrounding area, so just be careful if you arrive at night! Overall it was a great weekend and we'd definitely stay there again!

We loved all of the activities here. The kids had so much fun doing karaoke. If we’re ever in the area again we would book this home again.

This Airstream is a unique stay in a beautiful part of Ohio! We appreciated Ryan’s organized recommendations (we loved the apple cider from Laurelville Fruit Farm). The Airstream is a tight squeeze ;) and it could use some updates. Overall, we had a fun weekend amongst nature!

Great place. Very private. Ideal for a getaway in the woods. Just make sure you take Conrad to get there (a paved road). Waze can send you to an unpaved, impassible without 4WD road.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was spacious, clean, and had good wifi. We also enjoyed the privacy of the property and having the large fishing pond to ourselves. The location was convenient for short trips to town or just a little bit further to the numerous hiking trails. The host was friendly and responsive.

We can't say enough great things!!! We came for 7 days, did a lot of trails at Hocking Hills, ate at several restaurants that were dog friendly which was amazing as well. The entire place was amazing and we can't wait to come back again!!!

🌲🔥 Such a cozy, secluded cabin tucked away in the woods! We loved the wood-burning fireplace, relaxing sauna, and incredibly comfortable bed. The cabin was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a simple dinner. We wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy the outdoor fire pit, but we were traveling from Illinois to Pittsburgh. A wonderful little getaway! We’d absolutely return when we have more time to relax and explore the hiking trails! 🏡❤️🥾

This was one of the more peaceful AirBnB’s I’ve been too, honestly it felt like a home away from home! The view was beautiful on the way there - so scenic once we settled & could take it all in, kitchen was perfect for the amount of cooking we did & the projector & hot tub was the cherry on top! We felt welcome by the locals around town. This was a great experience for all of us, truly! The home was spotless and the he host made the space super easy to navigate! ❤️

We’ve stayed at dozens of cabins throughout Hocking Hills over the years. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but it didn’t quite live up to the 5-star experience I expected from the listing and reviews. Ryan was an exceptional host, and his communication was some of the best I’ve experienced. The speaker system is AMAZING, the sauna takes the experience to another level, and the fire pit is great. On the downside, this is probably the smallest cabin we’ve stayed in. The kitchen is minimally stocked with a very small refrigerator, no dishwasher, inexpensive kitchen items, and a charcoal grill. The hot tub was disappointing compared with others in the area, there were no extra blankets, and traffic noise from 33 is noticeable. There’s a lot to like here, and Ryan is fantastic. With a few upgrades and attention to the smaller details, this could be a much better overall experience.

We had the best time on our vacation for my son’s fall break from school. The house was perfect! It was very private and lots of room for our dog to explore. We caught HUGE fish in the stocked pond. Felt very at home and comfortable, didn’t want to leave! There are so many awesome restaurants very close in Logan and the drive to Hocking Hills State Park seemed to take no time traveling some beautiful back roads with the fall color really starting to pop! Highly recommend this cabin and we will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

My husband and I, along with our 1 yr old Golden Retriever, just returned from a 3 night stay at Black Bear getaway. Home and property were as described in listing and had everything we needed. Loved sitting on the deck, felt kinda like being in a tree house. We weren’t able to use the fire pit due to the weather but there is a nice seating area. Living area is close quarters and the stairs to the upper bedrooms are kinda steep and narrow but we didn’t have any issues navigating. Probably the most impressive about this stay was that when we had an issue with the hot tub, Ryan responded within minutes, provided a solution and was apologetic for the inconvenience. Would recommend staying here.

Awesome place to stay if you’re planning to hike in Hocking Hills! Everything was super clean and the hot tub was awesome. We saw lots of wildlife (including wild turkeys and deer!) each morning. We came to the cabin with 2 little kids and we felt safe and comfortable. The beds are comfortable too. I also messaged the host with a question and he got back to me within just a couple of minutes. Very responsive and kind. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place

We wanted a place for our 50th Aniversary. Kids and grandkids stayed. We had a very nice stay. We're not wealthy and family vacations are rare. The views are breathtaking. .Accommodations were very nice. My hubby James and I used to shoot pool....back in the day. We had a fire that was soothing. We had a meaningful couple of days with our children and grandchildren.

Ryan’s house was exactly what we needed for our girls trip. He was easy to communicate with,very kind and got back to us quickly with any questions we had. The house was beautiful as was the view outside. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!
