Such a nice quiet and private cabin. It sits at the top of a hill with a really beautiful view. The outdoor space with the hot tub, grill, fire pit, projector (with Roku attached), and more was a nice place to relax! Inside was clean and decorated nicely. The host was very responsive to messages and was flexible with us due to severe storms in the area. We had a really wonderful time staying here and would absolutely stay here again if we return to the area!

This was one of the best AirB&B’s I’ve ever stayed. Clean extra towels, laundry if I wanted and they didn’t expect us to clean, but we did anyways. Hot tub was great with private yard and was 6 mins away from downtown. I would def recommend to friends

Beautiful and peaceful location. Short drive to the sites and shopping. Our host, Ryan, was quick to respond to the few questions we had. Check in and check out was easy and hassle-free. The cabin was clean and roomy for our family of 14. Well stocked with bathroom and kitchen essentials. The lower floor game area was great for the grandkids. And the hot tub was nice for relaxing after a day of hiking. Our children and grandchildren all agreed it was a wonderful place for our annual family vacation.

We had a perfect romantic getaway. This place offers a simple and rustic escape from being in town. The location is ideal. Just up a gravel road and tucked snug onto a quiet hilltop this little cabin is a quaint hideaway. It was close enough to town and a few of the trailhead parking spots. It was easy to navigate to the small local beaches and to grocery stores. The space was clean and the chic rustic vibes made it feel comfortable. Ryan was very responsive and helpful.

This place is a gem. Very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The porch is ideal for gathering outside. Despite warm weather, we always had a great breeze! Lights and hot tub made it even better! Very close to great pizza and hiking. Book it.

It was a beautiful peaceful place to stay in. The view was relaxing. I definitely enjoyed the hot tub. It was my first time staying in an airstream and my overall experience was great.

We had a wonderful time on our family vaca! The cabin had lots of space for 6 adults, a child, toddler, baby & dog. The hot tub and games in the basement were a hit. Close to where we needed to go and secluded enough to feel far out. There were many handy kitchenware utensils and bathroom necessities. The yard was perfect and backs up to a pasture. The wrap around deck was also a hit. There was an awesome heat lightening/thunderstorm 1 night and we were all captivated by how much we could see! The other night we were star gazing and counting shooting stars. Highly recommend. Everything was very clean and put together! 10/10!

Beautiful & relaxing!!

Ryan is very responsive and offered to compensate for some of the issues we faced. He sent a maintenance person who was unable to make any impact during our stay. Strangely he was very insistent about this being a husband and wife small business and concern about bad reviews. Yet there are 14 properties associated with this business. He refunded about 18% of the price I paid based on these issues. 1. The broken floor in the kitchen was unsafe. 2. The water is not palatable 3. Outside is not maintained 4. Bedroom without blinds and other small maintenance issues. I would stay here again but it is rustic not luxury.

The house was great for a large group. The fun barn was a hit. Ryan responded immediately to any of our requests.

We took a last minute trip to Hocking and stayed at Ryan’s cabin and could not have had a better experience. Ryan was more than accommodating and very responsive. The Cabin was a great fit for our family and the kids loved the game room. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I loved our stay at the airstream! The hot tub was amazing and it had great views. It was our first time in this kind of air bnb so it was a little different but a great experience. Local restaurants and Hocking hills trails are just 10 minutes away! I would definitely come back.

Ryan was incredibly responsive and helpful. The house was well equipped and in a nice location. Very close to Logan and about a 15-20 minute drive to all the parks and trails. We would recommend staying here to anyone coming to the Hocking Hills area

Good place, nice relaxing spot, can’t beat it

The place was lovely. There was enough room for the whole gang and always something to do. Everyone loved the hottub, we had a movie night, enjoyed smores at the firepit, the pool table was always in use and we could take a break in our rooms when we needed some space from everybody lol. Ryan is a great and responsive host, I would absolutely recommend a stay for your group at The Velvet Elk!

Ryan was very responsive with communication. Everyone had a great stay and loved the cabin and decorations inside and out. Ample seating inside and out to accommodate guests!

Fantastic, large property with a great game room and ideal proximity to Hocking Hills. Hosts were great and everything was as advertised.

The place was perfect to get away and be secluded from a busy life. It was perfect for our 17 year old. When they say stocked pond, they meant it!

The house was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The record player was a nice touch, and we were happy to be able to make basic meals for our family in the well-stocked kitchen. The decor was fun without any clutter, and the hosts thought of small details: there were fans in every room, several hot beverage options, and throw blankets aplenty. From hiking at Hocking Hills to checking out the restaurants (we especially liked Cheery Street Pub, the ale house, and custard from Whit's) and attractions (the glass museum and Decorative Arts Center were great), everything was just a short drive away. Thanks for a great stay!

Ryan Was fast to respond to any of my questions. Lots of room for my family. The pickleball was a hit with whole family. Was quick to replace propane tanks that were left empty. Also was close to kayaking, ziplining, old man's cave, state parks for fishing. Could have had better excise to the pond and more fish in it.But all in all we have a good time. Milligan Family

The Elk Lodge was huge and had enough bedrooms & beds to accomodate all guests for our family reunion. We enjoyed the privacy, the lovely forest surroundings, & the convenience to restaurants & Hocking Hills State Park. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, etc. & the bathrooms were clean. Ryan's directions were perfect on GPS & his attention to me via text was admirable. Although I didn't meet Ryan personally I give my best wishes to him & his family for continued good experiences with their AirBnb rentals. B. Daly - Illinois

Great place. There was plenty of room for all eight of us and had everything we needed to just relax. We spent much time around the fire pit or playing corn hole. I would definitely stay here again.

We had the perfect night at Lakeview Cabin! so close to everything, cleanly, and super cute! Ryan was a great host and we would love to stay again soon- i’m sure the fall is beautiful! Thank you for everything! We will be back :)

What an amazing peaceful, beautiful, property. From the time you pull in the driveway to the walk through the front door you feel the charm. I have stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s and this one is my favorite. I stayed a week and that wasn’t long enough. The host is amazing. Always checking in to see if I needed anything.
